Our Journey

Creative Space Katy was founded out of a dream to provide a nurturing space for artistic growth for all ages through education and performance, fostering creativity in every student.
"As a mother of three young daughters, I remember how influential my dance and theatre teachers were on me growing up. Yes, they taught me technical performance skills, but what remained past all of that was the impact they each had (both good and bad), on shaping who I became as a human being.
Arts is about so much more than performance, when done correctly, it teaches integrity, builds the foundation for open and clear communication, establishes trust and a teamwork mentality. It builds confidence, and through a spiraling curriculum, shows students that over time, anything is possible through hard work and dedication.

I want a safe, nurturing space for my own children to grow, with documented curriculum, trained teachers, and material that is age appropriate for physical, emotional, and social maturity." - Sarah Sneesby, Founder and Co-Director of Education

Our Values
01
Inclusivity

We believe in providing everyone equal opportunities to express themselves through the performing arts.

If there is not a class currently designed to meet your needs - please reach out to us and help us create the space for you (or your child) to thrive in the arts!
02
Collaboration

Teamwork is essential, as we work together to create dynamic performances that build community spirit.

We also recognize growth happens outside of the classroom at home as often as it does in the studio walls - and strive to provide you with the tools and knowledge to join us in encouraging your child's growth and empowerment journey!

03
Growth

We strive for continuous improvement, encouraging both students and instructors to pursue excellence.

With a spiraling curriculum in both theatre and dance, you can rest assured that each teacher is trained to meet the students where they are on the spiral and help them grow to flourish.
04
Empowerment

Empowering individuals through arts education not only enriches lives but fosters confidence and self-worth.

Not everyone will grow up to perform on stage, but everyone who learns the practice of fine arts as a child will utilize the foundational skills as they walk their path in life.
